Best practices in record time
SAP Rapid Deployment Solutions (RDS)
What is SAP RDS?
Rapid Deployment Solutions (RDS) from SAP are modular packages that include SAP business management software that allow companies to deploy them in weeks or months for a fixed price. Applications are designed to address an area of functionality for SAP’s largest business applications, and address a specific function or need.
Thanks to SAP RDS, deployment projects are fast and predictable, with very low deployment costs and the ability to continue to grow in the future.
Standardize your deployment project and get up and running on time and on budget, with SAP Best Practices (also known as SAP Rapid Deployment Solutions, SAP RDS). These software solution packages cover the entire SAP portfolio and offer best practices for a wide range of processes and topics. No matter the size of your business, SAP Best Practices can help you achieve record time of value—in the enterprise, in the cloud, or in a hybrid environment.
Types of SAP RDS Solutions
Put simply, SAP RDS solutions can be:
- SAP business management applications (SAP ERP, SAP CRM, SAP Business Intelligence...) with a pre-defined scope and pre-configured functionality focused on covering specific sectors or business models, with a pre-defined implementation time and cost and that are marketed in closed packages through the SAP partner ecosystem.
- SAP RDS packages of which scope is selected by the customer through a tool called SAP Configurator. The customer, preferably in the company of an SAP partner, selects which functionalities of a particular SAP solution fit into their business and the partner (through what the customer has indicated in the configurator) packages the desired functionality of that solution.
SAP RDS solutions can also cover companies with an already installed SAP base that need management verticals to cover very specific operational areas of their business.
